Hello All. We now have a good number of Followers – now we need a few more Walk Leaders – We so  COME on.

There have been some good and interesting walks in December. A freezing day BUT an excellent walk which started from Little Canfield. We were rewarded with some lovely view and the two accompanying dogs s enjoyed romping over the wide open hard frozen fields. Again our weather stayed kind  for our Boxing Day Dash to Birchanger and bright blue skies provided some terrific views over the open countryside between Stansted and Birchanger. We completed the trip including an excursion into BIrchanger Wood and a pause for tea/coffee and mince pies, in a straight 2 hours. Well done All!

I wonder what January and February will be like – wrap up warm!

NOW, We NEED YOUR HELP.. two twitchells…(narrow footpaths) from Potter Street, Stortford, through to the Public Car/Park and Riverside, have now been “ARBITRARILY” closed by new incoming shop owners.

  1. Alongside the old RIVA dress shop, and,
  2. Alongside the recently closed, Store 21.

PLEASE WILL YOU HELP KEEP THEM OPEN. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO LOSE THESE SHORT-CUTS.

So TELL ME IF YOU HAVE USED these short-cuts OVER THE LAST 20 years. I need your name and address affirming your usage. This information will be sent to Herts County Council to help retain these short passageways – Thank you
