In December we delivered the excellent news that Herts County Council (HCC) had made an Order on 20 November 2025 to create an extension to Bishop’s Stortford Bridleway 008. This will create a new section of bridleway from Hadham Road continuing north for 170 metres to link with the existing bridleway that extends to Wickham Hall.
We have now received confirmation from HCC that no objections to the Order have been received and as a result the Order was confirmed on 5 February 2026. Details of the confirmed Order are attached for your reference. There is still a possibility that someone could question the validity of the Order but this is unlikely.
We look forward to letting you know when the formalities have been completed and this new section of public bridleway is open to the public.
