WICKHAM HALL DRIVE (BISHOP’S STORTFORD BRIDLEWAY 008)

Some good news.

Work is currently underway on the section of Wickham Hall Drive, south of the Bishop’s Stortford bypass underpass, to construct a segregated pedestrian path. This will connect to the path that was built by David Harvey, the landowner, a couple of years ago from the underpass to the Wickham Hall Business Centre.

The bridleway has seen a significant increase in walkers and wheelers as a result of the Stortford Fields development and the expansion of the Wickham Hall Business Centre. The segregated path will ensure that users of the bridleway no longer have to mix with motor vehicles accessing the Business Centre. The BSDFA first raised concerns about this problem when Stortford Fields was first approved and has been campaigning for a segregated walkway at every opportunity since.
