I’m pleased to advise that Herts CC has recently started work resurfacing the above-mentioned public footpath. The footpath is temporarily closed and will open once works have been completed. Please refer to the attached Order for details of alternative routes whilst the footpath is closed.
Over the past couple of years this section of footpath has deteriorated significantly and was under water for much of the past winter. The BSDFA has been in regular correspondence with the Herts CC Rights of Way Officer to press for action to be taken to improve this popular route into Bishop’s Stortford.
