We have been advised that Bishop’s Stortford Footpath 53 will be temporarily closed this week to undertake essential maintenance works over the half term holidays. The footpath crosses the Hockerill Anglo European College grounds and is regularly used by local school children.
The works will involve the introduction of dropped kerbs, repairs to the tarmac surface, and the replacement of a non-standard staggered barrier with a standard one. These works will largely be completed this week, after which the path will be reopened. However, a short term closure might be required in April to complete the works.
