For the past couple of years we have been pressing Essex CC to take action to address serious flooding where this popular public footpath meets the River Stort towpath, east of the footbridge into the Thorley Wash Nature Reserve. I’m pleased to report that we have been advised by Essex CC Highways that they have inspected the area and the footpath has been listed for repair. No date has been given when this will be carried out but we will monitor and post once we have further information.
