The Public Inquiry into Network Rail’s (NR) proposed closure of level crossings for Essex, Hertfordshire and the London Borough of Havering which opened on Wednesday, 18th October at the Civic Centre in Chelmsford has been suspended until January 2018.
This is due to NR’s failure to undertake legal requirements under the Transport and Works Act.
The only discussions that have taken place so far have been at a strategic level and the issue of the individual crossings has not been raised.
