PROPOSED DIVERSION OF FOOTPATHS 63 THAXTED & 73 DEBDEN AND CREATION OF 2 BRIDLEWAYS AND 1 FOOTPATH IN DEBDEN & THAXTED DISTRICT OF UTTLESFORD Sections 25 and 119 Highways Act 1980

Essex County Council are proposing to make changes to the Definitive Map of Public Rights of Way as shown on the attached plan in parts of Debden and Thaxted.

It is proposed to create one new bridleway adjacent to a narrow section of Bolford Street at Debden Green in order to provide a safer route for users, a further bridleway will be created in order to link the existing network from Richmond in the Woods to a point in Bolford Street approximately 80 metres norther westerly of Bridleway 5 Thaxted. The diversions are being sought in order to improve the management of farming activities and a new Footpath will be created linking the diverted routes to provide a more contiguous network.

If you have any comments on these proposals then please share them with us before Monday, 12 March 2018 and we will make representations to the Essex Highways team.
