THORLEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH 001

Through the St James’ Park Community Forum meeting the BSDFA has been raising concerns regarding the London Road entrance to Thorley Public Footpath 001, which remains overgrown and blocked by fencing despite the footpath reopening several months ago. Pedestrians wishing to access the footpath to connect with Beaumont Avenue are required to squeeze through a tight gap at the side of the locked sub station service gate.

Our offer to clear the site with the support of the Southern Country Park volunteers appears to have done the trick with the developers now promising to arrange for contractors to clear the problem within two weeks.
