UPDATE ON THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THORLEY FOOTPATHS 1 AND 3

Countryside, the developers of Bishop’s Stortford South, has wasted no time in implementing the temporary closure order for the above-mentioned public footpaths. As mentioned in a previous post (13 May), the closure order is for an initial 6 months with a planned extension of a further 18 months.

The footpath has NOT been completely closed as there is a signed diversion along the new spine road which will connect Thorley Street to Bishop’s Stortford Footpath 4 (the ‘Hertfordshire Way’). Walkers heading to and from the Southern Country Park are recommended to use the wide grass verges to the west of Obrey Way when connecting to the public footpaths that lead into the park.
