VANDALISM TEMPORARILY CLOSES THORLEY FOOTPATH 022

Sad to report that due to vandalism the above-mentioned public footpath has been temporarily closed to the public. The stile leading over the railway line has been damaged for the second time in a month. There’s a suggestion that this may have been perpetrated by trail bikers seeking a short cut to the River Stort via the Thorley Wash Nature Reserve. Network Rail will be onsite to repair the damage and identify what steps can be taken to prevent the problem recurring. We’ll keep you updated on further developments.

Thanks to Robert Phillips, Volunteer Warden, Thorley Wash for the stile photographs.
