We have been alerted to the temporary closure of the above-mentioned public footpath to the south east of Stansted Mountfitchet. The order is to enable safety work on the M11 embankments and is valid until 7 April 2022.
An alternative crossing point is to the south (see map) via Birvhanger bridleway 18.

Highways England will be carrying out essential waterproofing and resurfacing work to the Alsa Wood Footbridge over the M11, west of the village of Elsenham.
